Zima provides the BEST waxing experience I ever had. Usually I don't get this service done often because it hurts and I've had a few uncomfortable experiences that made me stay away. However, Zima was instantly warm and welcoming, she made sure to keep me relaxed with her stories so that it hurts less, and she did it so quick that I didn't even realize sometimes that she was doing it. Of course, there is no way for waxing to be completely painless - but this was the closest it can humanly get. I felt very comfortable and super happy with the service. I am now converted and will be coming back every 7 weeks!

Additionally, I also get my hair cut by Panh. He was really funny and friendly, and he knew how to cut my fine Asian hair. It's usually hard for me to get the type of cut I want because a lot of stylists don't know how to work with this type of hair, but he understood instantly how to make my hair bouncy and thick without cutting too much off. I really love the haircut I have now. I'll definitely be coming back for my haircuts here as well!...more

I happened upon a GEM of a find at Mancini de Paris! Color specialist Panh was patient and listened to want I "thought" I wanted. He knew what he was talking about and got me results even better that what I always had (same hair). He used tons of foils to avoid tangling and matting. It’s so nice to get out and do something normal during the pandemic. I had my first gel manicure in 6 months today behind the plexi glass with their front door wide open letting in the fresh air at Mancini de Paris and was happier than I could have imagined that I did. It felt really safe, to me and I had a great conversation with the lovely manicurist, Carmen who has been doing nails for 14 years. Carmen did a great job - a very gentle manicure with a great hand massage and used a nice smelling lotion! She also was so kind and walked with me to the sink to do a hand scrub there as well. I got to know Carmen and it was more thank small talk but a genuine and heartfelt conversation. Take a look at my beautiful eyebrows, they did not look like this a few years ago and I have to give credit to my girl Mona Qudah who works at Mancini de Paris in Arlington Virginia. The establishment is COVID-19 compliant. So you don’t have to worry about not getting amazing customer service. That’s a given.I went through a transformation and Mona took me on as a client after I’ve had a few flubs of people trying to do my eyebrows properly. Its been 5 yrs and I’ve never been disappointed . My eyebrows used to be short on one side long on the other and she takes precision and care of not only my eyebrows but my face too. She does magic with her facials and as you can see in this photo she made me look like a supermodel. Mona is an absolute professional and perfectionist. Every time I visit her, I feel like a new woman! The quality of my mani/pedi was great. I wish i knew her name. She's a light skin lady that sits in a corner closest to the wall/TV. I went in on a Tuesday night, to get their special. They adervitise for $40 mani/pedi but it's really $46. The lady was very gentle and quick but accurate. She said my mani would only last 2 or 3 days but it started chipping after 7. I'm definitely going back to her.

i didn't like the treatment of the front desk lady. The salon closes at 8PM and she was rushing customers out of the salon by 7:30, forcing them to pay early. I had just got done with my mani and went to sit down at the hand dryer. The front desk lady told the manicurist to get my cash from my wallet to pay! Even the manicurist was shocked at such a demand! It was myself and another lady getting our nails dried. I left at 7:45 and she was rushing the other customer asking her if she was done.

If your closing time is at 8PM, you need to be respectful for the customers who are still in the salon. Customers pay to get pampered, and rushing customers 15-30 mins early is not acceptable!...more

Pondering the quote from the wise old man, I started suddenly looking at my hands in a whole different way. I headed to Mancini de Paris and this was no accident. Since he had consistently done a great job with my hair, I decided it was now time for me to explore the other nooks of this urban chic salon.

I was going to give my hands and feet a treat.
Carmen sat me in front of her table. I was in awe in front of her gentle, yet quick and precise motions. She seemed to be silently communicating with my 10 fingers which became two hands with perfectly cut, shaped and polished nails.
Time to bring my feet to cloud 9. Literally (you'll see why when you get there). Soaking, scrubbing, exfoliating and massaging. Woaw....
Oh yes, and massage is available too. Maybe I need another inspiring quote. Or not...

I never had a bad experience in this salon. Everybody is courteous, professional and understand that sometimes we all need a "Calgon take me away" moment and they take pride in giving you just that.
